
It’s nesting season. I saw Canada geese and Goslings were at a pond nearby. The Goslings are yellow-ish grey. Also I found some holes in a tree. I didn’t see any chicks, but I heard a lots of cheeping. Watch the short video. I’ll keep an eye on it and see who emerges later.
[May 17, 2021] update: I walked pass the tree again this morning. Now I know who they are. They are Nuttall’s Woodpecker’s babies. I saw their parents feeding them. I was wondering are they Nuttall’s Woodpecker or Downy Woodpecker? They have speckles on their belly and no big white part on their back. Therefore I identified them as Nuttall’s Woodpecker.
