Bodega Bay is well known for the famous 1963 horror-thriller movie "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock. Some of the original buildings seen in the movie still exist.

American Canyon Wetlands Trail
It was a very windy day at American Canyon in August. It is just south of Napa California. I attended an Audubon bird group's birdwatching tour.
Morro Bay
It was very windy and cold in late May. I stayed at a hotel with a view of the Bay. Gulls were flying in front of my hotel room window.

I visited Sunset Beach in Huntington Beach California before the summer vacation season started. There were only a few surfers on the beach in the morning hours.

A part of my trip in southern California included San Diego in May. I visited San Diego Bay and Mission Beach and Bay. It was foggy in the morning. I saw several birds close to water.
